Strategy Aim

To increase the economic capacity of a local area which, in turn, aims to improve the well-being of all residents. Federal and State Governments play significant roles in progressing economic development initiatives at broader regional and national scales. Local government plays an equally important role, undertaking a range of activities and initiatives in collaboration with local partners to promote the interests of the region and underpin business growth, employment and training opportunities. Working with other levels of government, businesses and nongovernmental sector partners to create better conditions for economic growth and employment generation are key processes of economic development.
