Results orientated: Council should focus its resources and energies on activities where there are likely to be measurable and tangible outcomes that result in positive long-term economic benefit to the community.
Community focus: Council needs to support economic development initiatives that will benefit the business and residential communities and have the support of the private sector as well as other governments and/or agencies.
Regional focus: Council needs to maintain a team focus by supporting regional economic development initiatives that will provide benefit to the residential and business communities.
Sustainability: Council should be strategic in its decision-making process, and where appropriate, make decisions based on the long-term sustainability and viability of projects and initiatives.
